Jon Morey is a licensed Chiropractic Physician, Movnat Certified Trainer, 5th degree black belt, and a Biology professor at the University of Michigan-Flint. Jon has a wonderful wife, Kerry Ann, and four energetic boys at home and they love to spend family time in the great outdoors.
Doctor comes from the Latin verb docēre [dɔˈkeːrɛ] ‘to teach’ and Dr. Morey has been teaching in one form or another for most of his life. He loves to read and learn new things and even more to share that knowledge with others.
Dr. Morey has at times been charitably described as “quirky” by those that have known him awhile and when he received a late-diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome at age 38, a lot of it began to make sense!
One of Jon’s “special interests” has always been the human body and how it works. This is the reason for his life-long study of the martial arts, human movement, nutrition, and what eventually led him to become a Physician.
Jon continues to learn about the body by teaching Pre-Med Gross Anatomy, Neuroscience, and other classes at the University of Michigan-Flint. He has recently decided that he will soon be returning to school to begin a Ph.D. program now that his boys are a bit older.
Dr. Morey looks forward to helping you become a healthier, happier person once you become a member of the Great Lakes Chiropractic & Movement Center!
