Uncivilized Vitality

What is Uncivilized Vitality?

Uncivilized Vitality ™ is a program of Health & Happiness Optimization in which lifestyle changes are made, mimicking certain aspects of pre-civilized hunter-gatherers, allowing us to achieve the ancient state of Eudiamonia: a life that is serene, joyful and enthusiastic. The basic premise is simple: many aspects of civilization have been terrible for our health and well-being. Diseases of civilization are on the rise. (Obesity, anxiety, depression, cancers, heart attack, strokes, diabetes, etc.) Being too civilized is killing us! Our program shows you how becoming more Uncivilized can improve your way of life.

What we offer

  • Guided Fieldcraft Overnights
  • Day Camps and Workshops
  • Corporate Team Building
  • Certification Courses
  • Presentations and Lectures
  • Scheduled Chapter Meetings

UV program outline

  • In it’s simplest form, Uncivilized Vitality can be described as Health & Happiness Optimization. You can practice any of the 3 main categories individually but the synergy of all 3 will undoubtedly bring about the greatest levels of Vitality.

Meet Caitlin Wilkinson

Hi there!

I have an associate degree in business administration and accounting and have worked with the public in numerous customer service roles over the last 20 years.

I have made it my mission to live and work on my own terms. All while trying to avoid getting wrapped up in the mind-numbing hustle and bustle of today’s “civilized” society.

I find a great deal of comfort in the escape to nature. My goal is to connect on a deeper level with myself and the natural world by stepping into an understanding of cyclical living and acknowledgment of ancestral living.

I can’t think of a better way to continue down this path than working and learning with UV and the Uncivilized Living Foundation.

Fieldcraft 202
Tickets
Oct 24 – Oct 26 all-day

This is an intermediate event for those ready to challenge themselves. Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their Health & Happiness through the exploration of Fieldcraft.
These campouts will build upon the basic skills of shelter building (both tarp and hammock), fire making, water purification, and knot tying. We will also branch out to many other new skills as well.

This is not a survivalist/prepper camp. While you will walk away with necessary woodland skills, the objective is to develop your SELF by safely pushing the boundaries of your comfort zone.

We will arrive at camp Friday evening and depart Sunday morning. More information including a packing list will be provided closer to the event once registration is complete.
